Visit Hamilton Ontario Waterfalls

waterfall canada

Home to more than 100 waterfalls, Hamilton, Ontario attracts nature lovers with its stunning beauty. With so many falls, it can be hard to know where to start for new visitors. When you’re ready to disconnect and take in the gorgeous scenery, Mercedes-Benz Burlington can share the Hamilton, Ontario waterfalls to start with.

Webster Falls

Webster Falls is the largest of the local falls, and one of the most popular with visitors. Located near easy-to-navigate open green spaces in the historic town of Dundas, a trip to this falls can also include great restaurants, casual hiking, and a shuttle to take viewers to the top. Come during fall to get a breathtaking view of the changing leaves in Dundas Valley.

Devil’s Punchbowl

Composed of two falls that can range from a solid fall to a trickle, the Devil’s Punchbowl is a colourful example of geology. Dating back millions of years, the Punchbowl is a semi-circle of layered, colourful rock that surrounds the falls. A 10-metre high steel cross also punctuates the nature landscape, having been constructed in 1966 to, “bring light to the town.” Paid parking is found just a short walk from the viewing platform where visitors can also find great views of Hamilton Harbour and Stoney Creek.

Felker’s Falls

Found in the Felker’s Falls Conservation Area, Felker’s Falls remains a hidden gem among the more popular Hamilton, Ontario waterfalls. This long ribbon waterfall cascades over the edge of the Niagara Escarpment and ends in a bedrock gorge that reveals interesting formations. You can hike along the falls, or for a more accessible option, there’s a wheelchair-accessible loop that leads to the viewing area.

Tiffany Falls

An easy, family-friendly hike over streams and through the forested trails open up to the impressive Tiffany Falls. Ice climbers visit in the winter when the falls are frozen, and families are awed with the falls after the spring melt when they’re at their most grand. If you want to continue the hike once you’ve viewed the falls, the connecting Bruce Trail provides a longer walk.
